DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Pennie Hall is the Director of Operations for Whitmore Management and has worked with Whitmore since August 2016, where she oversees daily company operations and maintains clear, consistent communication across all teams. She fosters a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, emphasizing learning, accountability, and a strong commitment to quality and customer service.

Working closely with company principals Daniel W. Aston and Kay J. Harlow, Pennie provides strategic leadership and hands-on operational support. Her responsibilities include supervising staff, hiring and training employees, implementing budgets and audits, and overseeing company expenditures. She also plays a key role in onboarding new properties into the Whitmore Management portfolio by developing budgets, rental structures, and proformas, as well as negotiating new contracts and vendor partnerships.

With more than 34 years of experience in the real estate industry, Pennie brings deep operational expertise and proven leadership to her role. She received her Certified Apartment Management (CAM) certification from the National Apartment Association (NAA). Currently, she manages a portfolio of just under 1,000 units in the Hampton Roads area, ensuring operational excellence across all properties.
